Ok, now the fun begins! We are asked to challenge a familiar pattern; something you do consistently and it does not serve you well.
I love the idea the author offers of "borrowing" a positive trait or a strength you have, to work through the pattern. Outline in detail what qualities you would need to more effectively handle your pattern or reaction. She says, "tell yourself I can react less defensively and more creatively and here's how I am going to do it."
So in addition to following the process outlined in the book, consider today's questions as well:
. What are some ways you have used to challenge a familiar pattern of behavior that you may have exhibited in the past?
. How did it work out?

Look For Patterns
Well friends, today's lesson should be fairly easy. We all have habitual ways in which we respond to certain situations; especially those situations or experiences that carry some type of emotional charge.
The author says, "patterns let you know that you are responding less to whatever is going on outside yourself and more to your own habits and assumptions". Hmmmm, assumptions! They will get you every time!
The questions for the day are:
. How do you react when someone asks you to do something you don't "feel like" doing or when they criticize you?
. When you meet someone with whom you might possibly get involved, do you always tell yourself how unlikely it is that things could work out well?
. Are you constantly defending your actions in your own mind?
. Do you feel taken by surprise when things go really well?
Have fun journaling!

The Self I am and the Self You See
OK Wonderful Ones! Today's lesson is full of good stuff! It is our goal to be our authentic selves! We all want the simplicity of just being our selves, not having to fake it, mask it, or deny it! Yet I bet it is safe to say that most of us are fearful of letting people see all of who we are or what we are feeling at any given time.
You might want to journal the author's questions to see what you can uncover about yourself. In the meantime, the blog questions for today are:
. What is the single biggest attitudinal change you would like to make when you are with other people?
. Who am I when no one else is around?
. How can you be more suthentically yourself? And what is the biggest risk or fear you have of being totally yourself ?
Remember, God loves you!

What you gain by understanding yourself better
Wow! Today's message is just for me. Yesterday I had an incident that had me reflecting upon my response. I discovered that i have deeply rooted core values and beliefs about how I will approach ministry. When I am faced with the prospect of being out of alignment with my credo, it causes a strong reaction within me. Knowing this about myself is very helpful when I witness my reactions.
The action steps for today are to answer the questions our author poses. They are quite powerful. So bring a situation to mind and apply these questions:
. What do I want to achieve in this situation?
. What message is my behavior giving to other people?
. Do my actions match and reflect my intentions?
. What is needed here?
. What would make a positive difference?
. What can I bring to this situation?
Well, it is time to look deep!
Be Blessed and Wake Up!

No one knows you better than you know yourself
Greetings Awakened Ones!
Well it seems we are circling back again to ourselves to take a look once again.
I love the truth that no one knows us better than we know ourselves. Yet haven't we also adopted some of the opinions and assessments of others? We may have done it so much that we no longer trust our own knowledge of who we really are.
Now is the time to take back our identity and values!
The questions for the day are:
. What do you know about yourself that few people know (keep it positive) :)
. What are your special talents?
. What are your core values?
Action Step: write a positive affirmation about yourself and state it throughout the day.
Love and Light,
Rev. Sylvia

What will you find?
Greetings Awakened Ones!
Yes, we have armed upon the journey of self knowledge and yes it can be a bit challenging; especially if you really do the work and look deeply.
The reason that you have been asked to journal daily is to allow the subconscious mind to bring out your deepest thoughts, insights, desires, and dreams.
Do not be afraid to see yourself! All of us have the full range of human potential and human flaws, the key is to shed light upon them so that you can consciously choose which ones serve you best. This is Life Mastery!
The questions for today are:
. What did you want to be when you grew up? Did you accomplish that dream?
. What will you regret not doing in your life if you continue as you are now?
. What is your legacy?
Remember your strengths and your passions and put forth the effort to develop them, embrace them and keep them in your heart; they will give you life!
Shine On!

How do you see yourself
Greetings Awakened Ones!
Just an FYI, I am trying to post via email; I pray this works. Â
What a great class last night, plenty of good sharing.  Remember we are about unveiling, uncovering all of who we are, so i truly appreciate your willingness to open up and share your insights about your self honestly!  This fits right in with today's lesson "how do you see yourself"?
Hmmm, I think this is also what she calls "circling and landing", meaning this is going to be a repeated theme here. Â This makes sense since we are about becoming self aware!
The questions for the day are:
. Â What qualities do you most value about yourself?
. Â What qualities do you most want to claim and express?
. Â What makes you feel most alive?
. Â What habits or patterns are you ready to leave behind?
. Â Does anything hold you back from being fully yourself?
These are great self reflective questions. Â She suggests that we reflect upon them and the share with a trusted friend. Â Well, you now have a "Truth in Action" partner to share with so let's do it. Â I would also suggest journaling so you can see yourself and let your deeper thoughts be revealed.
Look deep and, Wake Up!
